Week 3 of TPT Challenge - Make Your Masterpiece

Week 3 of #tptchallenge is here and its been a great one to complete

This has pushed me to finally get my newest product completed.  I've been working on this one for a few weeks and it's been a big undertaking!  This idea was born from creating my End of Year packs and showing them to a fellow teacher friend who immediately wanted to see my back to school stuff....ummm didn't have one yet, so creating I went.

But I kept being side tracked a few times with other projects (I wanted to do classroom posters).  I needed the breaks as I was trying to do to much at one time and it kept getting overwhelming.

So what I have been working on is back to school packs for grades 1 through to 5 (with maybe a kindergarten one, but I'm not sure yet).  On top of that I have been trying to do a few themed ones as well - so about 20 packs in all - too much I tell you, too much!

You cannot just cut and paste and be done with it, (well I guess you could but I didn't) as each age group has it's only ability and of course for the older kiddo's their own clip art, which means the only work I get to save myself is the formatting :)

So in order to complete the challenge I broke it down to single projects and I will post each project as I complete it - so much more manageable!

I decided to focus on my 3rd Grade Back to School, All About Me pack and finally today I got it posted!  What was even more amazing was that within 4 minutes of posting it I had my first sale and feedback!!!!

The pack has pages which enables the students to share about themselves

as well as activities which help in those 'need to get something done' moments and of course the early finishers

I also wanted to have a few activities that were just fun and also showed the possible out of the box thinking of students (hence the doodle page)

Of course to help get something on those walls which represent the students there is a page for the students to fill in and color which summarizes some information about themselves.

I have also included the UK English spelling pages for Canadian teachers and I intend to do packs for English, Australian and New Zealand teachers where grades are not used but rather the word 'year'.,

I cannot wait to get the other packs finished within the next week and the themed packs (superheros, pirates, rock stars and space) which will focus on grades 1-4 (maybe kindergarten) in the next 2 weeks.  The reason I am only looking at grades 1-4 for the themed packs is I am unsure if there would be a demand for grade 5 in themes - of course if I am wrong I am happy to be told and make one.  I am also happy to look at any other theme as well....any suggestions?

I am so happy with how this is turned out!  Now to go and complete grade 4.  If you are interested in checking out my pack (soon to be packs) just click on the picture below (also another first for me I figured out hyperlinking with a picture yay)

  2. I absolutely LOVE this! It looks amazing. Your kids will have tons of fun completing these. Too bad my kinders wouldn't be able to complete these, lol.

    1. Yeah I think kinders would kinda struggle :) I'm trying to tailor them to the age levels, so hopefully I will have a kinders one all figured out soon too :)
